Baby Ryan's Birthday Cake

Baby Ryan turns 1 today. So I made an ice-cream cake to celebrate...ice-cream cakes are the preferred choice in my family.

After mixing in all the ingredients for a regular french vanilla cake, the batter is poured into a 9" pan (spring release, a new purchase) and left to bake in the oven.

The baked cake is then cut into half and an entire tub of ice-cream squeezed into the center. The end result should resemble a giant cookie like the above picture.

I creamed an entire tub of low fat vanilla ice-cream to make the frosting. It appears that is what Baskin Robbins does for it's ice-cream cakes. It gives it that extra oomph.

Rainbow sprinkles, seashell chocolates and an umbrella to complete this holiday cake =0
