Royal Caribbean Cruise (Day 5 & 6)

Proper sit down breakfast, Eggs Benedict.

After breakfast we hung around the promenade, there was a Dreamworks character parade, long Qs for picture taking, I only managed to take this photo of puss-in-boots and not the other characters.

Did some shopping, lots of good stuff at great prices. This time around I got facial masks bundle packs and panda shaped hand creams. Raffle draw for shoppers to win more stuff.

Lunch: shrimp salad and pasta carbonara. I didn't finish most of it, headed out to have some pizza and hotdogs at the kids center.

Got drinks at Bionic Bar (check out the video on my youtube page).

Our rooms were invited for a middle eastern dinner buffet at the Solarium.

I don't really know what all the descriptions refer to so it was interesting, and delicious.

After dinner we watched a juggling act at the Theatre and then more frozen cocktails and live music at the Lounge.

Royal Caribbean Cruise (Day 3 & 4)

Buffet breakfasts coz its shore excursions to Phuket on day 3 and Penang on day 4.

This is the North Star viewing platform with its own bar.

Once we are at its highest point, the platform starts to sway and its a little scary. But you get this great view.

Bistro style lunch when we came back coz this bistro place is open from 12 noon to 5pm.

This is the soda cup for use in the canteens around the ship, there's a microchip inside that starts the soda fountain. I cannot carry it inside my bag coz it leaks even with the nozzle closed, so it has to be carried around visibly in my hand.

Souvenir from Phuket, its real leather cannot believe it.

Hanging out by the bar, having a red bull cocktail.

Still enjoying a view of Phuket, the ship doesn't sail until close to midnight.

For dinner everyone got the fish of the day - cod, it's soo good. But, it wasn't really filling so my dad ordered an extra whole lobster for me! There is an additional charge for such things. The Thai fish cake starters actually came out Indian, no kidding.

We were back in the bistro at night to watch the show, all those screens used to be clear windows that you can look out into the ocean.

By the next day, we were in Penang, Malaysia.

We came back to the room to rest, ordered room service.

An almost steakhouse dinner: tomato soup, Maryland crab cakes and filet mignon.

After the theater show, we dropped by one of the lounges for live music and cocktails.

Every night the turn down service has a towel animal waiting for us, along with the next day's itinerary. Talk about good service.

Royal Caribbean Cruise (Day 1 & 2)

Check out the size of this cruise liner, the ships keep getting bigger. Just look at the number of balcony suites, this time we are upgrading to one of these balcony rooms. Cruise from Singapore to Phuket, stopover at Penang.

First meal on board is always a buffet coz of the number of people checking in. The outdoor pool is actually a wave rider you can surf in, big screen is for movies at night under the stars. I didn't actually make it to one of those movie screenings coz there's a live theater show every night.

There is an indoor pool and a solarium (indoor jacuzzis).

Every evening there is a sit-down dinner in one of the 4 main restaurants and reservations help coz of the crowds. My family of 10 managed to get seating together all the time, so its really well planned.

All the restaurants carry Asian Fusion menus, so its really difficult to predict what your going to get. Here the cream soup was Thai tomyam gha with coconut milk, Caesar salad and Turkey with all the trimmings.

Scrapbooking classes, the above kit is free, the staff will also sell $10 kits if you're interested. I loved working with an ocean view and proper tables to do my crafts on.

For lunch, I had Chinese duck salad, beef burger and molten choc cake.

My mom bought us scratch cards from the Casino. After lunch we headed over to the Casino to try our luck, lost a few hundred dollars.

At dinner, we celebrated my aunt's birthday. Everyone was too full to eat cake so the restaurant provided a 200gm cake for us instead. The menu again: Chinese seafood consomme, steak, lemongrass creme brulee.
