Jap - Thai Food

Try eating out now after Covid-19 measures. The conveyor belt sushi restaurants are still open but there is no more conveyor belt sushi, or condiments on the table. Everything is brought to the table upon ordering.

My bento box of everything I wanted to try today.

Thai food delivery from the eatery outside my place, feels like room service!

Crave Nasi Lemak by Selera Rasa

Touted as the original Adam Road Nasi Lemak, this multi-store franchise sells nasi padang standard nasi lemak. The nice packaging is a bonus. Around S$10 for a set meal.

Fragrant basmati rice, fried egg, crunchy ikan bilis, freshly sliced cucumbers and lemak chili. I ordered chicken cutlet, Thai krapow pork and rendang, as well as extras like their meatloaf otah, begedil, fish fillet, chicken wing.

Drinks of bandung, lime juice, milk tea and hot coffee.

My order of Krispy Kreme doughnuts keep getting cancelled but here it is now.

A dozen original glazed and 4 more with cream stuffing inside.

Hot Banhs

Burger or Banh Mi Set Meals from Hot Banhs, around S$15 a meal plus S$5 for delivery. I really like the fillings here better than other places, its like a Chinese restaurant dish but they put it inside a sandwich.

I ordered squid with green chili (really good!), spicy minced pork (that is way too spicy! forget it), grilled chicken (classic). All came with Vietnamese spring rolls (mint inside), tamarind dip (no nuoc cham) and Vietnamese coffee (really strong stuff).

I ordered some extra drinks to try, fresh guava juice and lemongrass soda. There's a few other fresh fruit juices that are not commonly available on the menu.

Groceries from Cold Storage, entering some new contests and also gonna put Ching's Szechuan sauce to stir-fry.

Beirut Grill

I am trying to order a group meal and my orders keep getting cancelled! I finally decided to order just for myself in many small dishes and ended up at Beirut Grill (Bugis) S$100 order. Everything came tightly packed in paper, foil & clingwrap.

I ordered the mezze platter (S$25) that has hummus, baba ghanoush, moutabal that is quite similar to baba ghanoush, cheese roll & falafel. The pastry platter (also S$25) that has falafel, cheese roll, spinach roll, sambousek lamb that is candied desert-like but with meat.

Falafel! I didn't get the falafel wrap coz there are some in the platters. I ordered the chicken shawarma and lamb kofta wraps (S$18). Two of the most popular kebabs around and I like to try it everywhere. Comes with fries and kabis pickles, the chili pickle is unexpectedly hot, chili water!

For dessert there is kunefe (S$12), sugar syrup and cream packed separately. Its more of a group portion rather than for one person.
