Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2014

Marc Jacobs last season as the creative director of Louis Vuitton. He goes out in style this season with an all black collection, celebrating all the highs of his career at LV. From black lace to black crystals, everyone can get an investment piece from this collection they will love and treasure for years to come.

Featuring the Spring Noes NN14 bag, a revised edition of it's classic drawstring bag.

It wasn't all dark & sombre in womenswear this season. LV also launched Spring/Summer 2014 pastels (coral, yellow, pink and lilac) in epileather.

These Neverfull bags are TDF! I have always been impartial to epileather that looks very professional & generic. Why must they come up with something I want now?? Actually, it's ok because I didn't get a Neverfull when it first came out even though everyone else did. I am going to put this on my Christmas wishlist and hope someone gets it for me.

LV menswear has this awesome tux in monogram hologram that looks like abalone shells.

The general mood is quite relaxed, with kaftans, hoodies and a gingham print.

Lladro's Limited Editions

Formal shopping event organized by Lladro @ Takashimaya Rose Room. Having purchased some items from Lladro before, I was enticed with a complimentary gift to attend.

Yummy Hari Raya desserts from Fadina, the baklava bites are good. Dolce Gusto coffee and mineral water on hand to make this sales pitch a tea time soiree. Only limited editions on sale here, 15% discount for on-site purchases.

Mostly Dragons and Horses, its the year of the horse and dragons are always popular.

What I really liked is this vase/urn. In full colour its $32,000, in 2-tone, its just $11,000. Featuring the intricate flowers that Lladro is known for.

Feathered lady is kinda Rio, no?

Free gift is a Lladro card holder that looks more suited for the sales reps : ) I thought it would be a bag or bag holder. I guess this event is catered towards guys, that's why.

Lancome La Vie Est Belle Perfume

It is only fair that since I also received a free vial of Lancome's La vie est belle (life is beautiful) perfume, I should also review it. It's a good choice having Julia Roberts as the face of this perfume that came out in Autumn 2012 as it speaks of this fragrance. It is typical with powerful sweet scents and an unusual powderiness in the middle. Reflecting someone down-to-earth and very real.

Marriott Cafe

Located next to Crossroads Cafe, the place to people watch along Orchard Road. Marriott Cafe is all buffet and fully air-conditioned. So Esthel and I spent the afternoon munching on delicious small plates of salads, charcuterie, cold seafood, desserts and an array of dishes Korean, Singaporean and European.

Weekday Lunch is $66 per person after taxes and you can opt for free flow of juices/alcohol for an additional fee. For afternoon tea, the menu changes to an all-local spread, then reverts back again for dinner.

Giorgio Armani Spring/Summer 2014 Fashion

Armani Spring Summer is filled with light as air florals and pastels this season in flowy chiffon and silk. The ladies all look soo sweet.

Armani Prive haute couture takes a turn for navy blues and geometric prints. It retains a certain down-to-earth feel in what is essentially formal wear.

Armani Resort brings us back to familiar ground, that is tailored suits 2-piece or 3-piece and jewel-tone evening wear. I always think of Thailand tailoring when I see Armani clothes, maybe because the tailors like to copy designs from Armani lookbooks.

Lion Corp. $100 Hamper

I bought some Kodomo baby stuff and won this $100 hamper from Lion Corp. I initially thought it would be a nicely packaged baby hamper, as it turns out, its actually 2 bags full of their latest products. Shokubutsu, Kirei Kirei, Mama Lemon, Systema, Essence, Kodomo. Loving the Shokubutsu Mulberry Facial Wash and Grape Shower Milk.

Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Perfume

I received a sample vial of La Petite Robe Noire by Guerlain and used it everyday until it was finished. It's a very fresh scent that is difficult to come by, accented by fruits and florals so it's more complex than say a plain, clean, fresh, scent. There is no musky undertone, rather a certain darkness from licorice and black tea. $116 for 50ml.

Chili's @ The Central Clarke Quay

This place is packed during lunchtime, I think it's the new lunch sets that are drawing this crowd in. No problem getting a seat though, the food gets delivered fast and tables cleared speedily to accommodate all diners.

This Chilis outlet has a real artisan vibe with wood-base paintings and glass art lamps everywhere. The food is still good and that's the most important thing.

The newly introduced Strawberry Lemonade is killer!

Extra Vouchers @ Checkout

For every $15 spent at Cold Storage, the cash register automatically prints out these vouchers. You can combine up to 3 such vouchers for a single purchase of Dove products worth more than $20. Each bottle of Dove bodywash costs $10.90. 2 bottles costs $21.80, minus $18 in vouchers = $3.80. That works out to $1.90 a bottle *tadah!*.

Oscar de la Renta Spring/Summer 2014 Fashion

Oscar de la Renta is immersed in the season as it features lots of summery shades and embroidery in its clothes.

The mood is fun & flirty with lovely crochet lace pieces for this season.

Oscar de la Renta Resort collection features gingham in it's day outfits and evening gowns. Accented with blooms and waxy summery colours. So everyone looks right for the annual pie eating contest.

3M Privacy Filter for Laptop/Ipad

Need some privacy while working on your laptop? Not something I think about but having won this $100 3M privacy filter from Brand's Innershine Contest, I set it up on my mom's laptop. With this filter, only the user can see what's on the screen, everyone else in the vicinity can't. 3M also has an anti-glare filter for optimum viewing comfort.

Sorry no real-life pics to share, experiencing technical issues with my tech toys lately.
