When I was first asked to buy some of this Korean drink, I had no clue what it was and mistakenly bought Soju instead, a stronger version of rice wine that tastes like vodka. I saw the milky liquid and thought it was some kind of soybean or milk drink.

My next attempt resulted in me buying a packet of that yeast used to make rice wine. Seriously, I am not literate in Korean.

Finally, I have a chance to try this delicious makgeolli or rice wine that tastes more like beer, fizzy and low in alcohol content. It's pretty good.
