Asia Plantation Corp Roadshow

Asia Plantation Corp Roadshow at Ritz Carlton, a really quick whirl through in less than an hour. This time around it's Agarwood used to produce OUD oil a valuable incense and perfume oil.

The reception at Ritz Carlton had awesome food and everyone was invited to chat and watch a video of happy investors. OUD is also used in a TWG tea blend, hhmm...

My free bottle of perfume and Takashimaya voucher for attending. Happy day as the sales team were really nice.

Bow Maker Tool

I've noticed craft stores putting out Bow Makers and looking at my local craft store, there are at least a dozen different kinds retailing for around S$10 a set.

The templates really help create even clover bows in an instant, I took just seconds to create these as opposed to creating them freehand. 

It mainly involves wrapping the ribbon around the template in an instructed manner. And there are 2 ways to do it to create 2 different looks. 

The Toy Story ribbons are wider than the recommended 1" width, which probably explains why the end results looks a little less than professional. But, it works fine with 1" or smaller ribbons (see top picture).

Copper Pots & Pans

My dream set of pots and pans will come from Mauviel, the French brand that make these shiny, high quality, functional pots and pans in that pretty shade of copper that looks like rose gold. The new design utilize non-metal handles so it's never hot to the touch and you don't need a mitt to handle.

The other brand is Ruffoni, an Italian tradition that features more ornate handles. Jewellery for your kitchen!

Actually, I lean more towards these hammered look copper pots as it adds to that rustic luxe feel. Strange how we would pay a premium nowadays for a country look and feel.

Korres Japanese Rose Review

Korres is an au natural brand utilizing the bountiful fruits and flowers indigenous to Greece. Korres Japanese Rose is popular with females as it is all about the tight sweet scent of rosebuds, I only had to open the bag to smell what everyone is talking about. The scent is not complex like perfume but straightforward, as though the evening winds blew past a field of roses and brought it to your door.

 Korres shower gels are a little more runny than usual so be careful when pouring it out. Korres body butters are reinforced with shea butter, so it is thick and creamy that is intensely hydrating. You have to massage it into the skin for it to be completely absorbed, once its in, your skin is plump and shiny with no residue.

Scripture Tea

I passed by a Christian bookshop to see this in the display, Scripture Tea to warm your body and mind. It was the incredible smells that moved me to purchase a pack. I was pleasantly surprised at how nicely packaged each teabag comes with different biblical verses on it's tag. 

Once brewed, the tea has a light scent and flavour of apples and cinnamon. It's not juice, so works alright with sugar and milk if you want. Since I like my tea extra strong I double the tea bags for an ordinary cuppa.

Scripture Tea's latest products are Sugar Packs with individual biblical quotes and American Hero Tea, an apple pie flavor with Americana facts and quotes.

This would be a sure winner if it had higher quality tea leaves for a more potent brew like those sold in French cafes and Marks & Spencers.

Method Haul

Last weekend, Method had an online sale and I purchased these sets at half price, free delivery too for purchases above S$30. It's foaming handwash, gel handwash and dish soap. Frankly surprised at the size of the dish soap that comes in a whopping 532ml bottle and will last me quite some time.

For some reason the products were really hot when I received them, must have been sitting in the van for some time. I really like the fun designs on the bottles. The broad pump makes it easy and comfortable to press. The scents are pleasant and very mild unlike overpowering versions that can get annoying if you don't like the scent. Takes a few initial pumps to get it working.

Health Store Haul

Holland & Barrett Haul - health foods and vitamins, the lip balms are to be given away. Acai berry is my preferred juice right now, I would describe it as aromatic berry juice S$7.90. Crushed nuts and berries is one of the latest food trends, you add it to yogurt, porridge or soups for that added boost of nutrients, S$15.90 a packet. 1 bottle of Ginger soda S$12.90 and 2 meal replacement bars $2.90 each.

Started reviewing the vitamin supplements I have amassed the last few months. Will be posting more on it if I find that it works. Still #1 on my must-haves is vitamin C effervescence tablets.

Paper Pinwheels

Paper pinwheels is a paper trick often used in scrapbooking. Here I used paper doilies and origami paper.

It's essentially a rectangle piece of paper that you fold at regular intervals, you can measure the spaces out in advance but I like to fold freehand.

Fold this piece of paper in half and you have a fan.

2 paper fans make 1 paper pinwheel! 

Glue everything to hold it together.

Stack different sizes of pinwheels and use buttons or brads for the center.

 I made 2 more scrapbook noticeboards from what's left of my 3M boards.
