Saboten Restaurant

My sis insists we try this tonkatsu place at Parco Millenia. And now I can share her enthusiasm as this is what tonkatsu should always taste like. Juicy pork with a thin layer of fat on the side wrapped in a crispy, flaky crust. Don't get me started on the crab cream croquette that is absolutely heavenly.

They have this signature sesame sauce where you have the grind the sesame seeds yourself with a twig, then add in the *special* sauce with a traditional bamboo ladle.

This place also offers complimentary free-flow of shredded cabbage with 2 types of dressing - vinigrette or sesame cream. Both are equally delicious if you must know.

Complete the meal with an authentic matcha ice-cream that still has that slight bitterness from fresh green tea. I will defintely be coming back here again.
