Located next to Samy's Curry, the original curry place before the rest of Dempsey Hill got developed. This place was built in traditional seafood place style with massive tanks of live ocean creatures arranged before diners.

Martha Stewart Loom Review

What I really like about this is its a complete set of weaving and knitting looms. There are different shapes and sizes of looms, pegs are colour-coded and it even comes with a matching set of accessories like sewing needle.

There are instructions included on how to use the loom, some basic knit stitches and 3 projects for you to get started. The provided instructions are step-by-step with pictures making it easy to follow. Once you complete the 3 projects, you will get the hang of it and progress onto more complex projects available online at Martha Stewart and Lion Brand Yarn.

This is the best way to get started on knitting if you don't know how. Looms help create even stitches for professional results and there will be a lot less dropped stitches for newbies. What I don't like about this kit is that the pegs do fall out when you use more strength, for that a regular fixed loom would work better.

Some false starts and now I am off knitting my own piece of fabric that I think will be a scarf. Hhmm...you know what I really want is a knit-along DVD of all types of knitting stitches on looms.

Hermes Helicopter

The Hermes Eurocopter EC 135 was launched in 2008 amid great fanfare and owners can choose from 4 different exterior paints and 5 internal colour schemes to customize their ride. The technologically advanced EC135 is Eurocopter's popular, light, multi-use, dual engine helicopter that boasts low noise emissions. Making it suitable for the rich folk it will ferry.

There is space in front for 2 pilots, seating for 4 passengers in the back and even a boot to put your luggage/goods in.

No price available but everyone's assuming it costs USD $10 million. A 1 way trip on the Hermes Helicopter from your Tokyo hotel to Narita airport will cost about S$1,000.

One Pot Cooking

 I remember when I was young, my mom would throw rice grains, sauces and chopped veges and chicken into the rice cooker before we went to school and we would return home to a piping hot meal. She could go off to work and not worry about feeding her kids during lunchtime.

You see, like the rice cooker there are many devices that close up completely, cook for a certain period of time and switch to keep warm thereafter. There is less to clean up, you don't have to watch it all the time, no need to sweat it out over a hot stove (yay!), everyone can eat at different times and still have the same warm delicious meal. All of which make one pot cooking soo alluring.

I am not recommending you get a rice cooker to do the same. You can use an existing crock pot if you are not fussy. A pressure cooker or slow cooker would be better suited for preparing different types of one pot meals in this manner. 

To make things even easier, there is Delia Smith's "How to Cheat at Cooking", I bought my sis a daily calendar version. It tells you what to throw in a pot in terms of cans, packages etc to make the most delicious meals, no joke!
