The Lime Food Truck Pop-Up!

Bringing America's Food Truck revolution to our doorstep, an event organized by Fiji Water. The Lime Food Truck will be making 2 stops this Friday & Saturday.


The Vault (bar at circular road, behind Boat Quay) on Friday 15 August from 7pm to 10pm
Orchard Gateway (newly opened between 313 & OC) on Saturday 16 August from 5pm to 9pm

I've been watching Eat Street on MioTV and will definitely be there. I heard the menu is only 3 items long, the signature pork belly adobo taco, fish ceviche tostada, crab & jicama taco. Each item costs $10 and comes with a bottle of Fiji Water. All proceeds benefit Willing Hearts.

Supermarket Contests Tip #1

In addition to in-store flyers and promotional signboards, check out other sources such as websites and phone apps. Cheers minimart has a phone app that notifies you of its contests, and contests are entered via the same app. 

Chanel Autumn/Winter 2014/2015

  

Sprinkles of colour. Swiss cheese fabrics. Even an egg carton bag, Chanel goes out grocery shopping this season. Chockful of tweeds, this collection has lots of sensible coats and suit sets. 

Rihanna, the Chanel Muse was there. Personally, I love this season's grey hologram pants & sneakers. 

The design direction this season veers towards cinched waists, that turns out fully exaggerated given the heavy fabrics used.

Chanel Couture shows off lots of intricate beading & embroidery this season, even sequins (*gasp*). The series of white & gold pieces look very saleable. I am more intrigued by the models hair than the clothes, its a very high fashion look that will look as good without gel.

Surprisingly, the final dress (that is usually a wedding dress) is actually very matronly and renaissance-ish. I think they wanted to show off the train, that had the same intricate gold beading as some of the dresses.

M&M Roadshow Redemption

M&Ms roadshow redemption @ Plaza Singapura leading up to National Day. Exchange candy wrappers for M&M goodies!

If you spend $15, you can buy a National Day T-Shirt or Umbrella for $4.90. I had already emptied out the sweet wrappers beforehand, so I just walked up to the redemption booth (no Q!) to get my goodies.

There was this giant Singapore flag made from M&M candies next to the redemption booth, you can take photos and upload to win more stuff.

In another display case are items up for live auction over last weekend. Again with candy wrappers.

13 fun pack candy wrappers = 78 points. 70 points for candy dispenser and 8 points for keychain.

Out of all the colours, I still chose Red coz he looks kinda relaxed and chilled out.

YSL L'Homme Perfume

The new YSL men fragrances are re-mixed with notes of our favorite spices such as basil, cardamon and even pink peppers to create a totally new vibe. It's got the usual sophistication of perfume with lingering hints of these spices once considered a luxury and only used during Christmas (hence, christmas spices and I bought this for my family last Christmas).

L'Homme limited edition - YSL re-releases L'Homme for 2013 in a refreshing perfume made for hotter climates. It opens with basil & violet leaves, a hint of white pepper along with the tang of lemon, bergamot & ginger. This develops out into woody scents of Virginian cedar, Haitian vetiver and sandalwood.

L'Homme Libre - The face of this perfume is Benjamin Millepied, ballet dancer. The perfume opens with basil & violet leaves, accented by nutmeg & pink pepper then mellows out into deep woody vetiver & patchouli. It's supposed to leave trailing notes of leather.

La Nuit de L'Homme - A luscious perfume with notes of cardamon and couramin held by cedar.

Not sure what I am going to buy with the funds but I did redeem this free accessory from Dorothy Perkins using my F3 card points. I can't believe there's something in my size.
