Food delivery from Yardbird @ MBS. There's a special takeaway box packaging for its signature fried chicken with waffles and watermelon.

Also ordered the lobster mac & cheese and lobster rolls. The bread roll used is really tasty. Mac & cheese is really rich & decadent, have to share this main course with someone.

Sweet bourbon maple syrup for the cheddar pancakes and bitter K-style hot sauce for the fried chicken. Loving the marinated watermelon cubes.

I wasn't planning on buying anything except maybe Japanese snacks and ended up entering the digital sale lucky draw, free home delivery.

I bought some silver jewelry, a pair of lapis lazuli earrings and an Etsy-style pendant made from burlwood and resin. This burlwood and resin combination is usually made into tables for around the same price as this silver necklace. 

Gonna pair it with a handmade silver pendant (I have 2!). The last time around I paired the silver pendant with a pearl pendant necklace from Citigems.

My original intention was to purchase one of these Novita rocking chairs that has massage & heat functions, but there are only the massage function ones left and its even on sale! Gonna wait to get what I want.

Halloween Candy

 

It's Friday the 13th and we are 2 weeks closer to Halloween. There's the big fright festival haunted house in Sentosa, I think Burger King meals have tickets to it. Or just watch scary movies on TV like me.

Loads of Halloween candy has also turned up like this Chupa Chups skull lollipop display on sale at Foodpanda, it comes with 50 x lollipops. There is also the usual seasonal flavors brand name candy with Halloween packaging. 

Or my favorite type of Halloween candy that I can empty into a bowl or container and it speaks for itself, individually wrapped of course.

Fruit Mju

 

Obsessed with these youtube videos of fruit mju stalls in Cambodia. They eat fresh or pickled fruits like noodles or rice with chili salts and fish sauce. I am satisfying this craving at home with salted plum & fruit juice.

Also tried making my own chili salt, its just chili and salt that you eat with fresh fruits or veges. Some people say have to add sugar to make it more palatable as this is an acquired taste. I like to add stock cubes or chicken powder.
