It was Mother's Day this last weekend.
This nasi padang place is located at Kampong Glam near Masjid Sultan. I ordered one of their mandi rice platters for group, that is more middle eastern rather than Indonesian. This place has all sorts of family platters.
I also ordered several side dishes of siput sedut (green curry snails), goreng pisang kicap chili api (fried bananas in spicy black sweet sauce) and their signature famous char kway teow (sweet Malaysian hawker version).
Drinks are iced chocolates and iced coffees. I really like the dry bbq in the mandi platter as well as the zaatar spice on the onions & purple cabbage. Must be what safari in the middle east tastes like, only I don't have to travel there to eat it.
