Pizza Hut Delivery

After that delicious meal, I was wondering about my next meal and its actually Pizza Hut pizzas. It's the burnt cheesecake that brought me here, a trendy new food item that is now available at Pizza Hut, along with hazelnut chocolate flaky tarts. 

The burnt cheesecake is a one person portion and the center is oozy gooey. No custard in the chocolate hazelnut tarts this time around, why?

Just regular pan pizzas in classic pizza hut flavors. I like the pastas as well, like this lasagne has béchamel sauce inside. It's as though I am eating it in a French bistro.

EL Fuego @ Jewel Changi Airport

This is like a south american steakhouse, I was drawn to the argentine beef as opposed to aussie that is found everywhere else. There's also a whole bunch of non-alcoholic juice tea mixes.

I ordered beef steak with mushroom ragout and watercress mustard salad, S$38. Also lamb chops with roasted padron peppers and dukkah spice tomato confit, S$38. These 2 mains include the sides I wanted to try.

Meats were delicious! Deep meaty flavor with a bit of burnt ends, juicy flavorful fats. All the sides are very good as well.

Drinks are Elixir a cucumber and lychee juice, the other one is Shaken & Spiced a marsala chai with tropical juice and fizzy soda. Both around S$8 each and incredibly sweet and syrupy with perfume notes.

My recent orders of Japanese apple juice, there are 2 types but I can't really tell the difference. Also garlic spam! All I am missing is cheese and wine :)

This eatery is located within a hospital and serves up local food. I ordered Laksa for my late night supper that can cost between $16 to $26 for a bowl. My side order of century eggs with pickle is only $3.

Really enjoyed the side dish, pickles with egg are good. The laksa was ok but would have liked more of that sambal chili for a really spicy kick, whoever was preparing this was probably thinking no chili at least not soo late at night I guess.

Enjoying hospital food even though I am resisting staying in one. Ordering more painkillers from new-ish brands Nurofen and Bayer Aleve, also Oxy pimple cream. I actually want more of the Korean brand stuff I am using now but its quite hard to find and ship to me.

Food pantry items that were delivered together with the above are more preserved veges for my porridge meals, salad dressings also for my regular meals.

The Secret Garden by Zeekri

 

Looking for French Cuisine and resisting the urge to call takeaway from famous French restaurants in Singapore, "are you a celebrity or what?". This place is from Kampong Glam near Sultan Mosque.

Herb encrusted lamb (got standard), bouillabaisse (its like curry), burrata salad (very filling, can be a main course), foie-gras. I didn't order any of the drinks as tempting as it was coz I have orangina and kopi-o at home already.

I think this amount of food is enough for 2 people to share, berry vinigrette was really good with the foie gras and the garlic saffron sour cream is simply amazing with the bouillabaisse.

Genki Sushi

New menu from Genki Sushi, I have been meaning to try it out for a while now. The okonomiyaki stick is awesome, chopped cabbage and pancake mix inside with tons of toppings. The fried shrimp with yuzu mayo is quite addictive, very fresh.

Torched sushi, sashimi and gunkun mixes that made my order come up to S$65. There's ika with capelin roe, amaebi shrimp with roe, crabmeat with miso, salmon with salmon roe. Spicy salmon handroll, torched shrimp/scallop/salmon. TDF!

I had to order from Genki Sushi again just for the crab specialties, this time around my order was more expensive at $103, good for 2 to 3 people. No need to go all the way to Hokkaido for the atlantic crab kaiseki feast when this is just as good (in my opinion). Do order the can drinks, small but intense.

I ordered 2 salmon sashimi steaks to cut myself coz its cheaper to do so. I also ordered some other sashimi like scallop, salmon belly, ootoro. On the crab menu there is crabmeat & crab miso gunkun, yuzu crab chawanmushi, soft shell crab roll, kani salad inari, kani mentai sushi, snow crab croquette.

HongKong Sheng Kee Dessert

 

This place offers a nice mix of desserts, snacks, main meals and some drinks. The milk tea I had is actually red oolong tea with sugar and milk, pretty good.

I ordered pork chop noodle that came as char siew noodle instead  😞😟 sauce is very sweet too. I ordered another main course wanton soup only no noodles and it was really good (dim sum standard). 

The radish cake has meat and other ingredients inside including fermented soya bean paste, soo extra! Desserts of yinyang paste (premixed) and mango sago pomelo.

OK Chicken Rice

 

I have ordered from this place several times before and although each item (like dark soya sauce) is charged individually, its still one of the best chicken rice around coz of the jelly skin you can only get with sous vide.

It's not boneless *signz* but the ample chicken gravy is great with cucumbers and rice. Also remember to order the gizzards, kidney, liver that is properly cooked, no foul smells or hard chewiness.

More salmon sashimi, the fatty omega3 helps heal mouth ulcers especially after mouth blistering hot wings. Maybe you need to eat it twice just to be sure it works.

Kakiage or fried shredded veges with spicy dark sauce and chawanmushi or egg custard.
