Sihanoukville - Phnom Penh - Ho Chi Minh

Sihanoukville has several beach resorts and I booked this one for its relaxed beachfront restaurant, that is right on the beach. Feeling the sand between my toes while dining on Khmer and European dishes. I took the hotel motorcycle ride to the markets to check out the local produce.

Driving into Phnom Penh for lunch, shopping at Russian Market, Central Market, Artisans d'Angkor and rest.

This Cambodian Border is a busy street! Crammed full of shops and hostels, the border resembles a toll booth. OK, there is a narrow dirt path just after crossing the border into Vietnam that leads to duty free shopping, pray its open coz its cheap!

Driving into Ho Chi Minh, first stop is Q3 for load laundry, you can get this service in any Vietnam hostel by paying an additional delivery fee. Self service is S$20 to S$50 for washing and drying, pack your own detergent/softener/stain remover as the shop may not have it available. We popped out for lunch in one of the nearby restaurants and even managed to check out a giant soft toy shop. Car Parking in this area is tricky, you need to park in one of the commercial/government buildings and walk.

The next day we did more shopping, first stop is Thuy Design House. Everything's in USD and the clothes are more for a celebrities wardrobe than for us, btw the clothes are gorgeous definitely worth the trip. The sizes are a little small though, I wear an L to XL. Took a stroll along the shophouses to Saigon Kitsch for new retro-look souvenirs, along the way are bamboo lacquer ware and art.
