It's durian season and I bought it in these freshly packed boxes as durian husks are difficult to dispose of. Has to be fresh coz if it's frozen I'll rather get the cakes & puffs instead.
The very popular & expensive Mao Shan Wang (cat king) that I had to try along with a few other varieties available at this durian seller like Red Prawn, Bola, King Kong, Old Tree KP. All the premium durians have strong durian flavor and more fruit less seeds. It's also mostly bitter! Except Red Prawn its sweet and not bitter.
The popular durian variety last time was D24, now there is D101 & D13, not sure what's the difference. There's also Xiao Tai Hong, Susu. Milder in durian flavor there's sweet (D13), sour (D101), bitter (XTH), firm (Susu).
