8 Degrees Taiwanese Eatery

This Taiwanese quick eats has been opening up new outlets lately. I ordered the iced drinks I am familiar with, sour plum lime and honey lemon, no coca cola.

Tofu with pork floss! doesn't matter if its steamed or deep-fried, just as delicious. That and the famous deep-fried chicken chops are not to be missed.

Scallion pancakes with spicy vinegar sauce and oyster pig intestine meesua go together. A surprising combination, I eat that spicy vinegar with both.

Satay & Chicken Wings / Rojak

Popular tea time snacks we like to indulge in. I like the bbq satay meat, don't really need the peanut sauce. Chicken wings on the other hand require that extra spicy chili sauce, if not I won't order it.

Rojak is actually from a famous toa payoh food court that has long Qs all the time. The secret is in the extra dried cuttlefish, jellyfish, century egg and stuffed beancurd you can add into it.

Som Tum @ Golden Mile Complex / Frog Porridge @ Geylang

Thai food from Beerthai House Restaurant @ Golden Mile Complex. It's kway teow soup for one so finally I get to try authentic Thai street food, its really kinda like beef pho noodles. This is the only place to deliver with a side of fresh herbs & veges too!

And more som tum to mix with canned fried ikan bilis, super yummy & addictive. This place offers at least a dozen different types of som tum like in Thailand. Always order raw seafood and let it sit for a few hours, the sourness makes the seafood ceviche sweeter.

Didn't order dessert coz I ordered the red ruby dessert syrup with lime drink. Also, sweet milk coffee that tastes a little like chinchow and sweet milk tea.

Frog porridge from Geylang in either spicy dried chilis or non-spicy spring onion. I always like the porridge from here coz its smooth like soup you can just drink it all down. Not enough frog though always have to remember to order more.

BBQ prawns in butter, hae bi hiam, lime and chinchalok, complete flavor bomb so much so you almost cannot taste the prawns. I mixed the hae bi hiam into the porridge for that extra spicy kick. One of Singapore's famous late night suppers at home.

Delifrance tarts and pastries, no bread. They even included a cupful of sugar syrup for my homemade tea & mixed drinks.

Coca Cola canned drinks that are really more for guests. Not really into fizzy sweet drinks these days. Also more soap, shower gels, hand washes, dish detergent.
