So Pho

I ordered Vietnamese Lunch from So Pho as its on FoodPanda's recommended list.

Soda Chanh a fizzy lime coconut spritzer that came in a resealable drink pack. Didn't spill at all during delivery.

I ordered the stir-fried vermicelli noodles bento as I love Vietnamese vermicelli. The prawn cake speared with lemongrass and summer rolls are TDF with accompanying sauce. The salad tastes like Thai mango salad only without mango.

Banh Minh sandwich, filled with fresh salad & pickles. The ham is actually a pate that really makes the banh minh, that and juicy chunks of grilled chicken.

I picked up this new 7 Eleven snack called peanut butter filled pretzels and its really cute with the same size and shape as the crackers that go in Yu Sheng. These are really salty with sweet peanut butter inside. I like the crispy biscuit-like version here instead of the usual doughy bread version of pretzels.

LiHo bubble tea specializes in cheese tea flavors! The fruit teas are pretty good as well as the singaporean-ized versions. It's all Chinese tea even though it says black or white tea.

Auntie June's + Jacob's Ladder

These 2 Indonesian/Nasi Lemak style places deliver via FoodPanda. I thought it was Larder rather than Ladder but its actually Ladder and its located within Togather Kitchen & Bar @ Novena.

My Auntie June's order was $12.50 and Jacob's Ladder was double that @ $30.50. It's a basic lunch box of rice and sides priced at $5 and $12.50 respectively, with additional side dishes you can add on.

@ Auntie June's you can choose between Blue Pea or Pandan coconut rice, it comes with otah, fried egg, fried tofu and fried veges. I added in an entire box of fishballs, seafood rolls, chicken wings for another $5, Chicken rendang is packed separately. Delicious sambal chili that made for a very filling lunch.

The Jacob's Ladder set lunch that didn't come with a drink but it had crackers, lemak curry veges, chili pickle, Bakar chicken and brown rice.

The Bakar chicken is actually a familiar lemon, honey, lime marinade with local Asian spices barbecued to a crisp black.

Juicy chunks of chicken in familiar satay peanut sauce and huge chunks of grilled pineapples that I absolutely love.

I also ordered Fileo Chicken, a Kelantan recipe with alot of Asian spices including lemongrass. Overall the chicken here is very juicy and flavorful, glad I didn't order the other meats like mutton.

Tian Tian Chi Mian

Foodpanda delivery from Tian Tian Chi Mian means everyday eat noodles. The noodles here are pretty tasty especially the homemade meatballs but it costs $5 for a regular portion and $10 with all the trimmings as shown below.

Laksa that tasted pretty ok. The noodles are packed separately. I like all the extra stuff you get for an additional $5 like the tofu skin wrapped fishcakes and abalone slices.

Meatball noodle that is similar to the fuzhou fishball with mince meat inside, only this meatball has pork meat outside and mince meat inside. I ordered lunch from this place because of these meatballs, its that good. This is a $10 portion with additional slices of meat, mince meat, abalone slices and fishballs.

My parents are away on cruise hence these funny meals instead of proper dishes with rice. For dinner, there was macaroni chicken soup and frozen pizza with sliced pears. I burned my fingers taking the pizza out of the toaster.

Went out later for supper at Thai Express.

Red curry noodles with the texture of mee rebus and watermelon cooler that I really like, its got mint, coconut, watermelon and lime.

MacPherson BBQ Seafood

This wasn't dinner, it was for supper but I had to order it before Foodpanda delivery closes for the day. I wanted to order all the different types of clams and this seafood bbq stall only had 2 types available that day - spiral shell and gongong.

Chili dipping sauces that came with the order, a citrus fruity garlic chili and a slightly bitter & sour sambal petai.

The gongong clams were simply steamed and came with long picks for you to pull the clams out with. You have to cut one end off, I think its the head or the foot and its hard and inedible. Then dip the rest of it into chili sauce. By itself it tastes ok, with the chili sauce its even better.

The spiral shells are really tiny, instead of using a pick, you have to suck it out. These came stir fried in a coffee pepper sauce that is pretty tasty, in small amounts its actually really good.

I also ordered prawn balls that came as regular prawns with the shell still on, what? That butter nyonya sauce has a deep rich flavor but I still like the regular butter prawns for the crispiness. This is sort of in between.
