Launched in 2006 and about time then too as several artisans were already selling their pre-beaded/crystallized yarns to great success. Before such yarns were available, knitters had to pre-thread their yarns with seed beads manually before embarking on knit projects.

Swarovski Crystal Yarns are available in cashmere (wowwiee!), cotton, mohair and polyester. Sold mostly through craft stores and websites, it is priced at USD$8-$10 per metre. So it's meant for accessories like friendship bands (you know those crochet Braccialetti ones). A scarf will set you back by USD$1k in just materials alone, that's about what an LV scarf costs as well.
