Ordered a second time from 3 Buns (Quayside) coz of the discounts on 500ml cocktails. The Fields (lemongrass), Yuzurita (lemon), Wilfred's Sangria (red wine with fruits), Strawberry Daiquiri (lime). For my supper, I got truffle hot dog set that comes with fries and house lemonade.

Marks & Spencer rice crispy snacks in yogurt & chocolate, I like the yogurt better. Mini marshmallow tea cakes, my absolute favorite. Fizzy lemonade & raspberry no sugar added, that needs sugar syrup.

Guardian Pharmacy painkillers, cough syrup, handwash and toothpaste. For my birthday this year Singtel gave me 1GB extra data for 1 month.

Lechon Republic

Pinoy Food from this cafe at Novena. Chopped lechon (roast suckling pig) @ S$25 a kilo, it's the same price in Philippines. There are all sorts of lechon dishes here like sisig or karekare. Sinigang soup for those who are interested as well as a fresh chopped salad enseladang mangga. 

Normally, you have to order a whole suckling pig a few days in advance and its at least S$388 for 15kg. Lechon has that shiny crispy skin outside that is like crackers and soft juicy meat on the inside. Comes with a dipping sauce.

Ordering from Old Chang Kee, dry fried mee siam and fried foods on sticks. My favorite breakfast foods. Too bad they don't let you order drinks. No curry puffs in this order too.

Chicken popcorn order is actually 2 sticks of fried chicken meat with lots of fats, tastes a bit like KFC.

Wheeler's Yard Takeaway

 For my birthday lunch this year, I ordered this S$100 meal package for 4 people from Wheeler's Yard. I remember the really delicious fish & chips and included it in this order as well. It's still the best dish there I feel.

4 mains, 2 sides and 4 drinks, we ended up sharing everything so we can try all the dishes. There was another 4 brownies made with Valrhona chocolate that was delivered later, almost thought they forgot about it.

House made coolers that I was really looking forward to. Tropical dream (hibiscus tea mix with fruit juice), the Hulk (the sweetest amongst the four with green apple juice mix), ginger lemonade & honey lemonade both need to add your own sugar, not sweet at all.

The burger comes with salsa sauce on the side, you will eat it all up, its like a beefy backyard bbq burger really juicy with burnt ends.

Sous Vide Chicken was absolute perfection, nicely roasted corn on the cob but the mash is too heavy. I have been ordering OK Chicken Rice for the jelly skin and perfectly cooked meat, but the chicken there is not soo meaty.

Signature Pork Ribs that was all melt in the mouth tender tasty pork but I feel the sauce is too light as compared to regular bbq sauce. It's nicely roasted with the veges.

 Sides of popcorn chicken and calamari have a chewy mochi crust and the sauces are really good.

Nonnina's Pizzeria Delivery

Yesterday was Deepavali public holiday. Home delivery from Nonnina's, authentic thin crust Italian pizza with sprinkling of herbs on top. The toppings may not look much but its really the salty pizza sauce and just the right amount of cheese that makes it soo delicious.

Also ordered the wings in bbq and spicy, I think that's Korean spicy coz its a little tangy with the taste of soju in it. Apple crumble for dessert, really nice spiced apple fillings, the tart is quite soft though, needs to be baked or reheated before eating.

Shake Shake in a tub

 

Korean fried chicken place with a dozen different flavor powders like McD's shaker fries. Best part is everything fits into a reusable tub neatly for delivery and free stickers! S$30 plus S$8 for delivery. Feels like a picnic.

First layer is fries in sour cream & onion, followed by popcorn chicken in butter popcorn, then fried chicken in 2 flavors soya garlic & spicy. The chicken is really crispy, good stuff! The popcorn butter really tastes like what it says it is, quite strange.

Half ice half lemon tea drink from the dim sum place. Looks like my half half drink from Nene Chicken.

Swee Choon Dim Sum Restaurant

This place has superfoods juice mixes like acai x blueberry, soursop x chia seeds, passionfruit x camucamu. Other than that its the usual dim sum menu of chinese tea and dumplings.

Seasonal specialty items, black truffle xiao long bao and black sesame lava ball. I like the light taste of truffles with soup dumplings, goes nicely together. Lava balls are filled with molten sweet black sesame paste, I can eat this alone and be happy.

Classic dishes like bbq pork pastry (not bao), siew mai, har kow, freshly made rice rolls, deep fried bean curd rolls, steamed pork ribs with black beans, wantons in sichuan chili oil. You can find this har kow and siew mai in food courts, quite average. The steamed pork ribs are not soo fatty and come with yam cubes, really delicious together.

 

BBQ pork pastries are the best part of tim sum, always have to get these. The wantons in sichuan chili oil is really traditional with lots of vinegar, the wanton skin is really thick and holds up well against the chili oil sauce.

Freshly made chee cheong fun or rice rolls with flavored soya sauce, really light and tasty. Portions are generous too.
