I received my ANZ bank card today. That makes it 3. I don't know why I need so many accounts with different banks!

Gurhan Orhan - Jewellery Designer
Meticulous preparation and restrained innovation go into his designs. When high concept meats high design, this is 1 artist that truly deserves the price tag his creations come with. From the graduated colours of his gold tubes (made by varying gold to metals combinations of 10k to 24k) in the Black Diamond Necklace above to the proportionate cuttings & colour of stones chosen in the Phoenician necklace below. Co-incidentally, my 2 favourite designs available at Neiman Marcus website. He has managed to deliver sophisticated artisanal pieces in a refined manner.

Autumn/Winter 2010 (part 2)
.jpg)
Created new stuff over the weekend. Decided to stick to the wearable basics in 14k goldfill.
And 1 colourful cloisonne piece. Not a fan of enamelling, but, these are so pretty with beautiful detailing.

Clearing my wardrobe
Making room for my new purchases to fit my new size. All old clothes smaller than size 10 have to leave.

SPH GSS Draw 2010
Finally! This year I get to be a participant. Ok, so there are 800 people selected to participate in the day's draw events. But, still, I have a chance to win a car valued at $55,000 without COE, insurance, road tax and registration. I hear you can sell it back to the dealership immediately at a discounted price. That still isn't shabby considering you walk away with $40,000 cash.
After hanging around for 3 hours, I got through the first round but not to the finals. Aargghh! No prize at all! Just as well, there is still a 2nd draw at the end of this month.

My Autumn / Winter 2010 Jewellery
Inspired by the Indian jewellery exhibit at the museum and the Soccer World Cup in Africa, I have created a heavily influenced collection. Can you see it?
This necklace is called "Africa" as it's made of gemstones only found on that continent. Bright green Zoisite and blue Iolites.
"China" Chandelier earrings with rich reddish brown garnets and sumptious black onyxs. The overall outline looks like traditional Chinese court ornaments.
"Bollywood" bracelet uses vibrant colours for a dramatic contrast. Purple Amethysts and orange Carnelians. This massive bracelet moves as you do.
Measuring just over 1 inch, this discreet pair of chandelier earrings are arranged in sunny yellow Citrines and green Peridots.
Deep luscious purple Amethysts used in an unpretentious, relaxed manner through cabouchon cut gemstones in various sizes. The serrated gold beads add a slight ethnic twist. I think "Maldives" is appropriate for this luxurious yet informal piece?
