Changes @ Home

 

Finally left the hospital and am home. Adjusting my home life for now at least. The follow-up medical appointments for the next 6 months are starting to look like a part-time job.

Diet Changes

 

Got moved to a new ward coz I caught an infection. Started chemotherapy this week. Doctors said no more TCM for me including ginseng and bird's nest. Living on meal replacement drinks.

Weigh In

 

My weight dropped drastically but still not back to what it was before. Instead of whole meals, I've been snacking on crackers. Lots of wound dressing changes and some new stitches. Found myself in need of sensitive skin soap and moisturizer.

Road to Recovery

 

My family has been bringing me to the hospital gardens in a wheelchair, glad to be out in fresh air. Working with physiotherapists and hoping to go home soon.

 

Post Surgery

 

Cut my hair short before surgery. Trying to keep my body cool with my own personal fan. Too many tubes coming out from me.

Watching the National Day Parade on TV in my hospital bed and waiting for my impending surgery.

Hospice Care

 

 Things are down to a routine now but still no end in sight. My aunt told me she was in hospital for 2 months. So gonna change the next few posts to road trips, partially guest written coz I haven't been to those places yet.
