More Candle Stock

More candles from China that I ordered as samples. I didn't order all the designs available, only the stuff I thought was suitable for my flower shop. Check out the amount of free gifts I got on this order.

Loving the distressed mercury glass candles that are available in 1kg sizes. The wood lids make it look very rustico, I don't really like the metal lids.

There are also the "fakes", like these YankeeCandle-ish stuff that is almost the real thing, even has similar candle warmers. Or the brandless candles that have designer branded perfume scents.

Genuine Yankee Candles from a local stockist that is selling discount designer makeup/skincare/perfume for a limited time. There are also premium candle brands Jo Malone & Diptyque. Got myself a free L'Occitane verbana handwash from using the discount codes, some perfume samples and a brush.

Tapered candles from Amazon.sg. I stayed away from the classics and went with arthouse 6" candles and beeswax rolled 9" candles. I like the rustic farmhouse look of the beeswax candles, very trendy.

Then I got these rechargeable USB lighters that I cannot wait to try out. Think I spent $1,000 on candles so far. Didn't manage to get the cute little cartoon ones from Daiso even though that was on the plan. Also eyeing that Lalique candle that retails for around $1,000 euros.

Jewellery in Candles

 It's the latest thing in candle trends, finding gemstones/jewellery/gold nuggets/cash in scented candles. The only one that ships to SG is JewelryCandles where I bought these candles that have money (at least $2) wrapped up in aluminium foil inside. I don't really care about the scents at this point.

Other popular websites are Jackpot Candles (great variety), Jewel Scent (pretty), Royal Essence (free bath bombs), Diamond Candles (printed with special occasion like Mother's Day), Fragrant Jewel (love the sterling silver), Charmed Aroma (themed licensed collabs).

This video shows how it's supposed to look like. After watching it, I think it's a good idea to let it burn completely before fishing out the package. Great fun, now to get a jewelry candle next.

Found a lavendar candle from Ivy&Bauble on Amazon.sg, it's priced higher than retail but it's supposed to be completely sold out online.

Appliances from China

 

I bought a couple of new appliances from China that are powered by USB (my computer). The first of which is this LED table lamp with nightlight, its pink with a cute little toy dino inside.

This is a cup warmer or cooler, dual function. Not just a regular cup warmer, this cools my drinks so I don't have to get ice for it or keep it in the fridge.

Hotplate in the shape of a chinese bowl. This is the smallest hotplate I could find and its actually double the size of regular cups. I am thinking ramen/omelette/pancake for one.

Ultrasonic fruit or vegetable washing basket. I have a tiny ultrasonic jewelry cleaner that cost me almost $200 and it was sold out as soon as it was launched.

New Supplies

Ordered some new supplies for myself including plain drinking water. You have no idea how much of a lifesaver this is, ordered it before and am bringing it back again. Also ordered sparkling water in sweet flavors. 

Multi-purpose cleaning spray from Method. I had the glass cleaner before and it was a great help for computer screens, mirrors, windows. Changing to multi-purpose coz I think it is more appropriate for what I actually use it for, spot-cleaning around my area.

Finally got my medical heat pad, was relying on temporary heat packs that people use in cold weather countries for their hands. This is a total game-changer. So are bird's nest dessert drinks, I receive it every now and then and its greatly appreciated.

Free gifts from this order are baby body lotion, eye cream, face cream, pair of cups. As if the discounted prices are not enough. 

Frozen Dim Sum Breakfasts

My favorite breakfast these days is fluffy white char siew baos, soo sweet & hot. Eating a lot more sweet foods these days.

Different types of dumplings including the popular siew mai & har gow.

Deep fried items, carrot cake and yam ball. Also had plain rice rolls with sweet sauce + chili and glutinous rice.

Instant teh tarik @ home.

Tingkat Meals

Started on a 2 week tingkat food delivery service that promises home cooking or 菜饭 stall dishes everyday. It's 3 dishes, 1 soup and 1 rice for $20 and its enough to feed a family of 4 people. I like the variety coz I get to try everything, so far the veggies are really tasty (can be eaten on its own).

Dates Palm Fruit

I bought different fresh dates to try, the sizes and prices are about the same. Its even from the same supplier brand Syed.

Starting with the black bag of Oman premium dates, very classic and familiar to me with its deep red color. Its dry to the touch but very dense & sticky inside with a rich date taste. I would put this at moderate sweetness.

Next is the colorful bag of Tunisian dates with seeds removed. Its really sticky to the touch and on the inside. But this tastes like liquor dates or something like that. The bag zip doesn't work, packaging error. Sweetness level is one step above or just sweet.

Big box of Tunisian dates, sweetness level is the same as above. This is packed with the branches intact. Its dry to the touch and dry on the inside, seeds come out cleanly. My choice for setting up charcuterie or cheese board.

Small box of fresh honey dates, sticky on the outside and inside, comes packed with a fork. Its also really soft and mushy, perfect for baking. Sweetness level is incredible, I wouldn't use sugar when baking with this.
