It's Good Friday! Got any Easter Brunch Plans?

Planning a Frozen theme party with decor, gifts and games from Toys'r'us. Planning a buffet table centerpiece with the tiara that I haven't gotten yet, have to redeem from vivocity with these completed activity books. These activity books come free with purchase!

I will be using these window treatments and table runners as decor, some games for people to play with. Planning to put these on the coffee table or maybe as table centerpieces if we can get tables & chairs for all the guests. Right now its all plastic chairs only, not enough tables.

Frozen Toys and blind boxes as gifts for the guests. All the toys are of different value (so paiseh cannot be avoided) making these additional small gifts necessary. I still have the make the satin ribbons in blue and green. I also have to make these window clings as door gifts.

 Trying out Picard appetizers that looks soo fancy as well as Le Fruit that I am hoping is like Le Jus. Planning to mix the juices with oolong or green tea that I have already purchased. The beetroot one tastes like a smoothie, mango one is waiting for sagos to make a dessert.

The appetizers look lovely out of the box, the lollipops are smoked salmon with cream cheese and gingerbread rye coated in crushed nuts. The vegetable purees are seasoned with indian spices and come in really nice disposable leaf shaped containers.

Box Lot of Cosmetics

I've done this before, almost 20 years ago, bought a whole bunch of brand name cosmetics/haircare/skincare/bodycare in box lots @ biz prices for my own personal use as well as to sell online. However, this time around its a little different. These bags are all packed with exactly the same items and also the same type and colour of items. Not much variety for me so I guess I will be re-selling these. 

I call this the Maybelline box and it has 27 items, 5 of which are not from Maybelline. It contains 1 pouch, 2 sets of nail stickers, 9 nail polishes, 1 concealer, 1 mascara, 1 eyeliner, 1 lipliner, 1 eyeshadow, 1 manicure fixer, 9 lippies. The cheapest item here is the Baby Lips balm that retails for S$5.

I call this one the Max Factor box and it has 22 items inside, of which 5 items are not from Max Factor. It has 3 foundations, 2 nail polishes, 5 eyeshadows, 1 mascara, 1 lip palette, 4 lipsticks, 6 lip glosses. The most expensive item here is Max Factor foundation retail price S$26.

This one is the L'Oreal box that has 26 items inside and I think all the items are from L'Oreal. It has 1 BB cream, 1 lip palette, 1 eyeshadow palette, 5 nail polishes, 12 lippies, 1 eyeliner, 1 eyebrow pencil, 1 eyebrow brush, 1 highlighter, 1 concealer, 1 eyeshadow.

April Fool's Day!

I am playing online kuji lottery as well as online claw catcher since I cannot go out. My first thoughts are its kinda expensive at around USD $10 a try, but then again, its the same price as the Japanese websites and toy stores. There are instant kuji lotteries or blind boxes and even complete sets of kuji lotteries for you to setup at your next house party / minimart. My online purchase of kuji lottery tickets is a live youtube streaming of the actual lucky draw.

I purchased 9 chances in the Sanrio Chara Attack lottery (that has picnic baskets), 6 chances in Quintessential Quintuplets (hoping to win figurines of all five girls), 6 chances in My Melody & Kuromi Goes Travelling (plushie bags as well as luggage!), 5 chances in Sailor Moon Happy Girls (I really want one of the scarf keychains), 3 chances in Sailor Moon Princess (I only want the Sailor Moon figurine), 2 Kantai Shoukaku Kai figurines (archer girl) and 1 Kotsubu Penguin Plushie.

My Sanrio Chara Attack order arrived as 1x pompompurin eating keychain, 2x My Melody plushies, 1x mini light-up acrylic globe stand, 5x Sanrio wood dolls. My Melody & Kuromi Goes Travelling order arrived as 2x plushie coin pouches in My Melody and Kuromi, 2x Kuromi vanity boxes with mirror, 1x Kuromi dustbin, 1x My Melody towel. My Sailor Moon Happy Girls order arrived as 2x hand towels, 3x bag charms and a few double chance tickets.

I found some of the Kuji Lottery items for sale on Shopee and Carousell. You can just buy the items you want without playing the lottery. Over at Bugis+ I found another kuji lottery store and bought out the last ticket for Pokemon Eievui & Floral Candy, you get to have the "last item" special prize if you do so. Trying out my luck with just 1 ticket for Natsume Cat Cinema and 1 ticket for Last Encore. Live YouTube drawing every friday afternoon.

There are a few more kuji lotteries around, this lucky plaza shop had some blind box keychain plushies (I bought 2 sea animals), Natsume Cat Flower Melody (I bought 11 chances), Natsume Cat Festival (I bought 18 chances plus last draw), My Melody & Kuromi Goes Travelling (I bought 11 chances). There are duplicates, like these canvas tote bags and I will be trading these with other people who also have duplicates. Just like that I spent over $1,000 on kuji lotteries in total. 

Kulto Restaurant

Ordering more Mediterranean foods, its all olives, cheese, tinned seafood in garlic/spices/oil. I tried these combinations at my sister's house party and became addicted, I can eat it all the time. 

I also bought more fresh cherries, butter and smoked bacon in apple wood & maple for all day brunch.

Spanish - Mediterranean food from Kulto restaurant @ amoy street. I ordered a set meal, am expecting a lot of seafood especially squid. Also 1L of sangria or mulled red wine with fruits. Total $135 for 2 people.

There is squid ink paella, cod fish in garlic cream "rioja style", iberico chorizo in soft eggs & potato confit. The paella was like really rich seafood-y glutinous rice. The red wine is really rough, thought I was drinking some sort of chemicals.

I really like the codfish dish, the fish texture blends in with the seafood bisque-like sauce perfectly. The all day breakfast dish was good too, but I think toasting the bread would have made it better.

Pizza Hut Delivery

After that delicious meal, I was wondering about my next meal and its actually Pizza Hut pizzas. It's the burnt cheesecake that brought me here, a trendy new food item that is now available at Pizza Hut, along with hazelnut chocolate flaky tarts. 

The burnt cheesecake is a one person portion and the center is oozy gooey. No custard in the chocolate hazelnut tarts this time around, why?

Just regular pan pizzas in classic pizza hut flavors. I like the pastas as well, like this lasagne has béchamel sauce inside. It's as though I am eating it in a French bistro.

EL Fuego @ Jewel Changi Airport

This is like a south american steakhouse, I was drawn to the argentine beef as opposed to aussie that is found everywhere else. There's also a whole bunch of non-alcoholic juice tea mixes.

I ordered beef steak with mushroom ragout and watercress mustard salad, S$38. Also lamb chops with roasted padron peppers and dukkah spice tomato confit, S$38. These 2 mains include the sides I wanted to try.

Meats were delicious! Deep meaty flavor with a bit of burnt ends, juicy flavorful fats. All the sides are very good as well.

Drinks are Elixir a cucumber and lychee juice, the other one is Shaken & Spiced a marsala chai with tropical juice and fizzy soda. Both around S$8 each and incredibly sweet and syrupy with perfume notes.

My recent orders of Japanese apple juice, there are 2 types but I can't really tell the difference. Also garlic spam! All I am missing is cheese and wine :)

Socieaty by Les Amis

This eatery is located within a hospital and serves up local food. I ordered Laksa for my late night supper that can cost between $16 to $26 for a bowl. My side order of century eggs with pickle is only $3.

Really enjoyed the side dish, pickles with egg are good. The laksa was ok but would have liked more of that sambal chili for a really spicy kick, whoever was preparing this was probably thinking no chili at least not soo late at night I guess.

Enjoying hospital food even though I am resisting staying in one. Ordering more painkillers from new-ish brands Nurofen and Bayer Aleve, also Oxy pimple cream. I actually want more of the Korean brand stuff I am using now but its quite hard to find and ship to me.

Food pantry items that were delivered together with the above are more preserved veges for my porridge meals, salad dressings also for my regular meals.
