Silky Men Perfume

Silky Girl has loads of new perfumes. Personally, I like Bulgarian Rose from their flowers series of scents. Their newest Aktiv range are all fresh clean scents for girls who workout, spritz a healthy dose on yourself after your exercise class. More complex perfumes can be had from their love series of perfumes, meant as love tokens. Priced affordably at $9.90 to $14.90 a bottle.

Silky Girl also launched Silky Men perfumes and deodorants for guys. The Aktiv range is a series of fresh clean scents for guys. However, I was really impressed by the other perfumes that are comparable to high-end stuff in stores. The packaging is a little plain but at $9.90 to $11.90 a 100ml bottle, you really won't mind.

   

EwF (Everything with Fries)

I have never tried this place before today and its really innovative. I had the Har Cheong Kai Burger or prawn paste fried chicken burger.

Portions are large and you can get a meal for around $10, same for tea-time break of freshly baked desserts and a hot drink.

Personalized Dress

Inspired by Angelina Jolie's wedding dress (Atelier Versace), that veil is custom made based on drawings done by their children.

Ikea sells fabric with hand drawn designs, I was tempted to use that.

Using Dylon permanent fabric markers and a quilted white fabric called Emily Matelasse.

I darkened the picture so you can see the quilted design, polka dots and large floral motifs. The fabric itself is fairly think and spongy like a quilt.

Michael Kors 2015/2016 Autumn/Winter

Heavy wool or fur coats with cashmere separates. Flowy skirts and tailored pants in thickset fabrics. 

It strikes me as familiar clothes from 1900s, the looks are classic and conservative, people do still want to dress like that. Getting covered up and warm during these colder months are a priority for many.

I really like the militaria inspired touches like the black dress below and Prada inspired luxe looks.

Thai Boat Noodles Restaurant

I won $50 voucher from MamaLemon detergent, Pornsak Prajakwit is the celebrity endorser of MamaLemon and the voucher is to be used at his chain of casual Thai eateries in Singapore cheekily named Porn's Sexy Thai Food. You get a discount if you bring along a copy of his book Food Source based on his popular TV show.

I visited the outlet at Liang Seah Street, a popular foodie destination that houses pubs, Zhi Char coffee shops and homey restaurants. Liang Seah Street is conveniently located next to Bugis Junction, getting here by MRT is no problem.

I started the meal with lemongrass soda ($4.90) and mango salad ($6.90). 

The specialty here is Tom Yam Soup ($13.90) that I didn't order as its for min 2 people. I did order the prawn patties ($9.90) that were superb and green curry ($10.90). 

Nice hot & sticky glutinous rice with mango and coconut cream dessert ($6.90).

Enchanteur Perfumed Talcum Powder

I can't believe its still sold in stores, Enchanteur perfumed talcum powder for absorbing moisture and lightly perfuming your skin at the same time. I remember my grandma and aunts dusting this on in the afternoons, an old classic that's still relevant today. $6.30 for 2 x 125gm bottles of perfumed talc + 1 travel size free.

There are 3 scents:

Charming - typical soap scent of rose, muguet and cedar wood
Romantic - floral scent of Bulgarian roses and white jasmine (my fave!)

Alluring - fresher creamier scent of rose, iris and vanilla

Enticing - sweet scent of rose & magnolia (discontinued)

Beautiful - citrus, white musk & violet (discontinued)
