Laneige Water Supreme Makeup Gift Set

Laneige is a Korean brand with a popular water-based range of skincare and cosmetics. I can't remember how I got hold of this gift set. It couldn't have come at a better time as the tiny sample sizes, even the adorable HP dangle lipgloss are perfect for my on-the-go makeup bag.

Water Supreme Primer Base SPF15 (Green) and Water Supreme Foundation SPF15 (#21 Natural Beige), provides moisture for the skin, sunscreen protection and medium makeup coverage. Sort of like a BB cream.

Snow Crystal Pure Lip Gloss has a nice bright colour & moisture that lasts for around 8 hours (according to the website).

Slice Pizza Place

I've eaten @ Slice a few times before. Usually before I start grocery shopping @ Fair Price Finest. The supermarket here is fully stocked on China, Korean, Japanese, European specialty goods not available at other outlets. It's also not crowded and has quite a few cafes to chow down at.

The menu is short and simple with pizzas and pastas. The free flow of beverages with set meal is what makes it a really good deal.

Farm Ville 2

This has to be the best farming game on Facebook now. The graphics are sharp, clear and cute. You can grow crops on the ground or in the water, plant trees and process the goods on site. Only thing is FV2 bucks have to be bought and are needed to expand the farm, develop new barns and grow animals. Limited play but it's fun while it lasts. I haven't spent any real money on this game yet and am at level 20 where my sweetheart (that's what the game calls it) joins in the farming.

Hermes A/W 2014/15

Hermes creates a more masculine sensibility in its womens-wear this season. It's baggy and loose fitting to invoke comfort and the luxury is in the fabric and construction that you feel when you wear the clothes, as always.

At the same time, the clothes this season are meant to capture a more raw and untamed essence.

Hermes menswear maintains a dark coloured palette in the same design direction.

Lancome Tropiques Minerale All Over Magic Bronzing Brush is a wonderfully packaged bronzer on the go. Press the button to release the powder and dust that 100% mineral filled bronzer over the face. The coloration is wonderfully natural that mimics a real tan or sun-kissed look if that is what you are going for. I think Cosmetic companies make such products as novelties so its good to get one while you can. There is another Lancome Star Bronzer Brush in a lighter shade for fairer people.

World Halal Gourmet Expo 2014

Singapore's 1st World Halal Gourmet Expo 2014 will be held at Suntec Convention Hall 401 & 402. This upmarket fair runs from Friday 7 Nov until Sunday 9 Nov, 11am to 9pm. You can try halal street food from vendors or buy beverages and mixes to bring home. Other highlights include competitions, workshops and a food trail.
