Need some privacy while working on your laptop? Not something I think about but having won this $100 3M privacy filter from Brand's Innershine Contest, I set it up on my mom's laptop. With this filter, only the user can see what's on the screen, everyone else in the vicinity can't. 3M also has an anti-glare filter for optimum viewing comfort.

Guerlain Meteorites Perles Light Diffusing Primer

To complement those finishing powders and blushers (Meteorites Perles) Guerlain is famous for, comes a range of primers with globules of creamy makeup bases suspended in cool & clear gel. There are 4 to choose from; Light-Diffusing Perfecting (rosy glow), Light-Diffusing Les Ors (nude skin colour glow), Light-Perfecting White Booster (halo glow), Radiance Concentrate with Pure Gold.

It's all about the packaging, as once the primer gets pressed out for use, the globules come out in a uniform liquid same as any other primer. I love the creaminess and evenness of texture upon application. $97 for 30ml.

Mamanda Restaurant

Something a little different this Sunday Brunch, we had an Indonesian/Malay style shared platter at Mamanda Restaurant just next to the Malay Heritage Centre. Followed by a hot afternoon stroll along Kandahar Street where the Sultan Mosque is located. 

The food was amazing, with main courses called "Poison Kris" or "Yellow Mansion" that gave no clue as to what it consisted of. We ordered the Nasi Ambeng platter (there is also Nasi Tumpeng) and additional tofu and fish dishes that were soo incredibly melt-in-the-mouth soft. This place is absolutely full all the time so make reservations and have after-meal drinks at the bar behind.

Tosti Wines

A recent discovery by myself, lovely white & pink moscato from Tosti. It's sweet with a nice lift and clean finish, very rare to find in a wine and here it is at an affordable price of $18 to $30. So I just had to share this hidden gem with everyone.

Balmain Spring/Summer 2014 Fashion

Rihanna is the new face of Balmain and I have to admit the clothes fit her image and style. It's upmarket, gangsta and small town (she's from the bahamas) all at the same time.

This season there are lots of nets (catamarans have nets), denim (casual), big chains. I spied several overalls and wouldn't mind that denim/gingham/floral applique dress.

Balmain menswear has a bad boy nautical theme going on.
