Clothing Shopping 2020

Is it because of the Great Singapore Sale, I can get Japan Fukubukuro prices on clothing here in Singapore right now. Get on Zalora.sg and search under Sale, look out for black labels that state additional discount codes apply, it means double discount on the items (like 40Labels or 30Selects that mean additional 40% or 30% discounts).

 Search by biggest discount for fashion clothing, search by highest price for designer brands, search by lowest price for wardrobe basics. This box contains 46 items and costs under $800sgd, each item costs $17.39sgd (16 dresses, 15 tops, 6 bottoms, 4 outerwear, 3 cz bracelets, 2 bags). Brands include Topshop, Wallis, Dorothy Perkins bags and Bullion Gold CZ accessories.





You can find a whole lot of clothing in your size. Don't be surprised size 30" waist is actually UK 16 or even International 18. If you are curvy then it has to be one or two sizes larger. Pics above of long sleeve tops, short sleeve tops and no sleeve tops. Pics below of more cotton tops, sweaters and sweater-like tops. I guess the difference is puffy sweaters go over existing clothes.

There's alot of ruffles here, more than I would normally choose for myself. There is also alot of black & white items including polka dots that I am not used too. Personally, I like the variety available. The business casual wear in my size is a dream, usually it comes in really tiny sizes. Once the material gets thinner, I plan on wearing thermal underwear with it all the time.

Full retail price of all the items in this box is $6,200sgd! I only paid 12.9% that's better than the end-of-season sales. Pics above of swingy long sleeve dresses, sleeveless cotton dresses, tailored shift dresses. Pics below of occasion dresses I would think. Strappy ruffled dresses, pleated long dresses, flappy butterfly sleeve dress in lamé and cold shoulder sleeve dress in sequins. 

I like the fake croc black pants, wish it was real croc, same for the fake tortoise shell bag. The only jacket I got is a tweed-looking one in ivory/metallic silver. These cz bracelets look like the lab-created diamonds selling in stores now. 

The other bottoms I got are cropped black jeans, green skinny jeans, blush wide leg pants and mint green baggy pants. There is only one skirt in fake suede that matches the burgundy fringe bag.

Early Start on Presents 2020

Did some online shopping these last couple of months and I had all the time in the world to do product and price comparisons. 

From Toys'r'us I got 20 sets of L.O.L. Biggie Pet Surprise, instead of a real living pet you get an adorable toy, its pretty cool right. This will be for the remaining birthdays this year, including one for myself. I also got 3 trays of Shimmer & Shine mystery rings as souvenirs for the Dubai tourists, cannot find anything else more appropriate.

Ordered cakes and non-coffee ice blended drinks from CBTL. The thousand leaves choco cake is like a giant ferrero rocher. I feel like the non-coffee ice blended drinks at CBTL are better than the coffee versions, orange juice and black forest.

From Swarovski SG I bought 15 sets of Mariah Carey Star Ornament that I am planning to give out over Christmas. I have bought Swarovksi crystal star ornaments several times before to hang in the windows and this design is new, so is the blueish color.

I also got the set of D&G-looking over-sized accessories as well. There is a 2 row necklace from this set that I didn't purchase as I thought it was a bit excessive. I like the ethnic looking tassel necklace that is very Tory Burch. The clip-on earrings are really quite light and lie flat so you can see it from the side when worn, not from the front. I was afraid to use too much force in case it breaks.

MOS Burger

Mos Burger Delivery, the one and only thing from this Japanese Fast Food place you have to try is the classic burger + chili + cheese. Its kinda small in size but soo soft with nice beefy flavor and one incredibly big slice of tomato.

I ordered the Fish Burger and the Chicken Burger this time as opposed to rice burgers that my family loves. These 2 burgers are almost similar to each other with a deep fried patty and lots of freshly chopped cabbage inside, almost Korean-style. 

Sides of Butterfly prawns that are thinly battered and nicely seasoned with salt & pepper. Deep fried mussels that have a thicker batter and tastes similar to deep fried oysters.

Sweet Corn soup that is incredibly sweet and full of corn flavor, I would like to have this any day of the week during my meals. Clam Chowder a thicker and much creamier soup with chunks of vegetables and clams. Mushroom soup that has a very adult taste of shiitake mushrooms.

KFC is still about the most convenient (cash on delivery) and affordable (10pc chicken bucket for under $30). Best desserts too, I always stock up on egg tarts when I order from KFC. Hershey's Choco Pie too, but lately it tastes a little astringent, maybe its just this batch that's messed up.

Same Places, New Foods

My free reusable face mask that I collected using my NRIC. This color matches a dress I currently have. Usually we use the disposable face masks that everyone else uses as well.

At Jumbo Seafood again with family, this time around someone else did the ordering and the dishes are slightly different. The chili crab dish had dungeness crab instead of mud crab, its a lot bigger with more meat on the crab legs.

Yam rings around the scallops and fishcake rolls made from seafood.

Chinese Spinach braised with conpoy and century egg, you can drink the sauce like soup. I'm surprised I didn't order this before. We actually finished our meal with melon ice cream from Culina across the road, $7.50 a scoop!

Thai food from Thai Express, there is pork rice that tastes similar to soya sauce chicken rice. From the picture with pickles & eggs, I thought it would be more like Taiwan style braised minced pork rice, but its not. The Som Tum has preserved duck eggs mixed in, really salty & rich, balances out this sour vinigar-ish salad.

Vegetarian Food that is always not what you expect and I like to be surprised by the other dishes like this sweet & sour pork - looking one that is actually a dessert with berries & honey. The usual beehoon with mock meats is still the best and tastes delicious.
