There is a Tiara Rule where you cannot just purchase one immediately, you need to inform your family first and have discussions or prior planning before purchasing a genuine diamond or gemstone tiara.

You can win a real tiara from Beauty Pageants. You are allowed to wear the advertised tiara for official appearances during the year. Thereafter, they will gift you a much smaller version as a keepsake.

Mikimoto makes pearl tiaras all the time, in fact there is a Mikimoto Phoenix Pearl Tiara in the Miss Universe Pageant. Here is a Hello Kitty tiara released in 2014, with matching Hello Kitty pearl jewellery. The latest 2019 tiara "La Flora de Mikimoto" pic below.

European Jewellery House Garrard "by royal appointment" makes tiaras for European royalty. Princess Charlene's convertible tiara can be worn as a necklace as well. Smaller tiaras can be detached into a bracelet or a pendant.

Bvlgari's colourful gemstone tiaras resemble hairbands, much easier to wear but still very much in the spirit of the tiara.

Trollbeads sell their charm tiaras to the everygirl, pick and choose the charms and gemstones you want on your tiara. It's much more affordable than the other versions.

Chow Tai Fook Goldsmith

Chow Tai Fook is one of the famous goldsmiths in HongKong, with branches in other countries including Singapore. The shop mainly sells traditional Chinese designs of gold jewellery that are timeless and classic. 

It's a lot on matrimonial jewellery including the new diamonds that are starting to look very European.

2012 there was a life-size Winnie the Pooh figurine in solid gold that caused quite a buzz.

2014 celebrity collaborations with Lee Min Ho and G-Dragon, where they co-designed their jewellery collections at Chow Tai Fook.

Marco Bicego is available at Tianpo Jewellery. I really like this brand for its arts&crafts style of jewellery, a more current description would be Rustico.

Jaipur link convertible necklace and bracelet set, that can be styled in several ways. Sizes S, M, L relate to the thickness and not length.  I was thinking this would be a good investment and I can wear it often. However, the brushed satin finish is not very polished and the mix of big and small circles doesn't look formal enough.

Gold Traditional Dress

Commonly seen at Indian weddings, this traditional dress is not necessarily an Indian cultural thing. It is made up of 2 to 5 sets of gold jewellery with necklaces of varying lengths, when worn all at once it creates this look for special occasions and important events. 

When you purchase more than 1 set at a time, one of the sets will contain a head dress in place of earrings and bracelet. That's how you get a head dress. I would say just get 2 sets coz you get two matching necklaces of different lengths, one head dress, one pair of earrings and a bracelet.

Traditionally, the necklaces are plain gold. Nowadays, you get many colourful gemstones from India that brightens up the look. Or what I was looking at, colourless sapphires that can make a big impression.

Other jewellery you can add on to this look are anklets, toe rings and even belts.

I am told this traditional dress shows your older status as you only acquire one set at a time at each major point in your life. So by the time you have 4 or 5 sets you are an elder in your family.

What the modern version should look like. I think a lot of people do this layering in the form of chains, no pendants or necklaces. But, its easier if its just one statement piece you can put on for the look.
