New Year, New Clothes!

I went out with the intention of getting that Marks&Spencer shirt dress in all colours for CNY and as luck would have it, only the wrong sizes were available. Still, I did manage to find some other clothes to buy.

Gap makes the most comfy Tees ever so these are great for everyday wear. On top of that, GAP gave me a $10 voucher to use on my next visit.

Over at H&M I bought some neon hair ties for $2.90, a new keychain for L $2.90 and gift boxes $9.90.

Oscar de la Renta A/W 2014/15

Bright navy blue seems to be the colour of choice for Oscar de la Renta this season.

Soft, lady-like clothes, even the men's style suits have embroidery.

Her World 3 month Digital Subscription

As a thank you gift from herworld magazine, I received a 3 month digital subscription to their magazine. I think it was because I filled out last month's survey online. It's really generous! Thanks in return!

Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream

I am used to cuticle oil and this really is my first time trying out cuticle cream that is lightly scented with lemons. It looks like a regular tin of lip balm or solid perfume but is really butter for the cuticles.  You need to warm it up with your hands before use, so the cream softens for easier pick-up. The packaging makes it great for travelling and storage (no spills).

If Fruitamin Drinks

My hot recommendation for the new year is easily If Fruitamin drinks that are sold through 7-Eleven. The name sounds a little strange and it costs $2.40 for a small 280ml bottle, that is probably why most people haven't tried this yet. 

It's really a gourmand drink of juice and cubes of rare yet delicious fruits like Mediterranean White Grape, Thai Mango, Sorrento Lemon. I have yet to try the Fruit Punch. The Sorrento Lemon one has just a little pulp, not really cubes of fruit.

Faber-Castell "Getting Started" Watercolour Kit

Faber-Castell makes these art kits that help anyone get started as an artist. There are manga comics, sketching, oil painting etc. You draw and colour in regular pictures, then apply water with a paintbrush to turn it into watercolours. This kit comes with all materials and a painting techniques guidebook.

Boncafe International Coffee Day Promo

This contest was to win espresso coffee machines, grinders and Barista workshops. However, I did get a participation prize of 2015 calendar and thermal mug.

The nice sales rep gave me two 2015 calendars that come with monthly recipes and have Malaysian and Singapore holidays pre-marked out. I have never had a Malaysian calendar before, what is Maulidur Rasul?

The thermal mug looks like a Singapore Tourist Souvenir. The backdrop changes yellow when you pour in hot water.

Korres Milk Protein Cleansing Wipes

Milk Protein make-up removing wipes are easy to use and features a gentler emollient formulation that is soothing on the skin. However, unlike Korres Pomegranate wipes it cannot remove waterproof eye makeup. Overall, I did like this product and stocked up on it. The packaging is nice and the scent is like baby powder. If you seldom use makeup then I wouldn't recommend wipes as once opened, the entire pack has to be used up before the formula dries up.

Long John Silver's Rice

The rice plates are delicious, just be sure everyone else at the table orders it as well.

The fish is really soft and completely boneless that makes it suitable for kids and elders.

The Zoo Shop

Owned and run by the Singapore Zoo, The Zoo Shop sells all kinds of plushies and stationary in animals found at the Zoo. I really want those adult fuzzy slippers $22 and glitter travel mugs $19.90. All I bought this time around is a ruler $6.90, coz my old ruler broke.

Armani A/W 2014/15

Armani menswear for Autumn/Winter is well tailored with asymetric coats/jackets that creates a very fashion forward look that is still sharp & smart.

We see more of this similar style in Armani Womens wear. Functional basics to be worn daily.

Armani Prive presents a Red & Black festive collection. There are lots of fantasy ballgowns as to be expected.

However, there are enough casual pieces and short dresses to suit all those other occasions we are called to attend.

RWS Adventure Cove Waterpark Tickets

Tickets to Adventure Cove Waterpark @ Resorts World Sentosa, courtesy of Schick/Banana Boat. I bought 2 bottles of spray-on sunblock to enter this contest that will come in handy. Unfortunately, I cannot go (no swimsuit, no mobility and other female problems), so there. Passed it on to the kids.
