Re-sewing Pajamas

Tempura buckwheat noodles for lunch and a massive chirashi-don for dinner @ Kotobuki. I always see people having ice noodles and its pretty good especially if they put raw quails egg into the dipping sauce.

It's the same chirashi-don from the front and back, there are different ingredients all around it.

Mini sewing project this week, joining 2 pajamas into 1 because the hemline keeps getting shorter, I don't know why. The clothing material needs to be of the same weight and type or the seam comes apart. I have re-sewn 3 pajamas and 1 top so far.

Pork with rice and soup, I am really into the soups these days.

Seafood vermicelli salad, mango frozen drink and coconut ice-cream. 

Grub Burger + Noodle Bar

FoodPanda delivery on my order from Grub Burger + Noodle Bar, I always use FoodPanda because you can pay cash-on-delivery.

Yuzu Mint Soda & Strawberry Lemonade, its a mix of fresh & syrups. 

The fries came in little cups, thick cut & very crispy.

The Mala Xiang Guo burger is delicious without the tongue numbing after-effects, greatly appreciated. Layers of sukiyaki pork with creamy Mala sauce, really good but I have the feeling you can make this yourself with HaiDiLao seasoning at home.

Mentaiko Katsu Burger that sounds good and the part with seaweed is good, but its not mille feuille with layers of sukiyaki pork as described.

BK Mentaiko burgers that came out over Chinese New Year are better, lots of Mentaiko cream that works well with salmon.

Fat Burger + Buffalo Wings

FoodPanda delivery on my Fatburger order. This LA based burger chain is now open in Singapore. The moment my order arrived, it smelled heavenly, looking forward to this meal already.

I ordered the western BBQ burger with cookies & cream milkshake, chili cheese fries and buffalo wings. The portions are soo huge I was stuffed for the rest of the day.

Buttery brioche bun with all the condiments and a lean bouncy beef patty, I would like the patty to be fatter & juicier but this way the burger stays together when you are eating it.

Always have to have celery sticks with ranch dressing when you eat buffalo wings, I think I ordered another dip that didn't arrive. The seasonings are really authentic, the chili cheese fries could have come from a tacqueria.

Fat Burger is famous for its levels of burger patties, sounds like a real foodie challenge.

Takeaway Desserts & Pizza

I stopped by The Sweet Spot @ MBS to get some more desserts. The lemon pound cake $14.90 is about the size of a brick, looking forward to my next tea-time already. The blueberry scone is $3.50 comes with butter and jam, the size is massive almost as big as the brick of cake.

I took a look inside the MBS Hotel gift shop and found co-branded TWG tea. There is Marina Bay Sands a green tea with fruity notes, Paris-Singapore a green tea with floral notes, White Sky Tea a white tea with ylang ylang.

Gold! Souvenir coins are $10 a piece and MBS-shaped gold ingots are under $1,000.

Sarpino's home delivery coz my parents are away on cruise.

My order from Sarpino's this time - salami pizza, calamari, carbonara spaghetti. The bacon in the pasta tastes like bak kwa, seriously.

Lavo @ MBS

It's like an Italian New York restaurant with an amazing view of the entire Gardens by the Bay.

Olive bread with olive oil and a really yummy lemon muffin drenched in sugar syrup. I actually bought a similar lemon pound cake at Sweet Spot after this meal, coz that lemon cake is really good.

Set Lunch included yellowfish crudo, better than sushi restaurants. I was expecting the charred octopus to be better coz it costs the same as this set lunch but its actually a coffee marinade. If you like coffee pork ribs from Tze Char stalls you would like this.

Spaghetti with meatballs, each meatball is an additional $6. This place serves meatball with ricotta cream as a starter so they cannot give it away for free I guess.

Dessert! I went out to get more desserts coz this was delicious but it wasn't enough.
