Pantry Room

Most large houses or country homes have a small room or walk in closet near the kitchen that's originally meant to store food. In olden days you had to grow your own fruit, vegetables and meat. Whatever was leftover gets canned, pickled, jammed, fermented and stored in cans or bottles in the pantry.

It also comes in handy when you have to drive 2hrs to the megamart to buy your month's supply of groceries or if you are an avid couponer.

My aunt uses her walk in pantry as storage for cleaning supplies, I think most people actually do that as well. This room can also be adapted into a laundry room or home office space, a haven for moms away from the screaming kids.
